Welcome to ‘Talk to Taz’. This is a website that aims to encourage discussion and provide a safe space for people to discuss their views on one of the most serious issues facing young people in Britain today, the issue of violent extremism (VE). 

Violent extremism is not a new concept, it has been prevalent in many different societies and cultures for many centuries and has affected both young and old people. However, the 21st Century has seen an unprecedented rise in the use of violent extremism and the media reports on acts of violent extremism on a weekly basis. 

In order to make sense of what’s happening, many young people turn to different sources of information, such as the internet, the news, friends and colleagues. However, many prefer to conduct their own research and access their own sources of information.

‘Talk to Taz’ is a non-political, unbiased and neutral website whose sole aim is to provide as much information as possible in relation to Preventing Violent Extremism. It aims to inform young people & all users on current terrorist issues & provide information, advice & guidance to stakeholders, partners & practitioners. The forums and blogs aim to allow young people to communicate with each other, share experiences and views in addition to being able to access up to date related news from around the world.
