What signs to look out for?

There is no set criterion that will distinguish a person with extremist views, and a person who is prepared to act upon those views to commit violent extremism. Rather, it is a range of behavioural traits that friends, family members and work colleagues can identify.

It is worth noting that displaying one or more, or even all of these traits do not automatically qualify the person as a violent extremist; other background information is also relevant before judgements are made.
